Trauma Therapy

The populations I serve are adults, ages 18-65 years old. I offer individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. The many benefits of therapy are mentioned below:

Trauma is often the root of our struggles. Childhood and adult trauma can leave visible and invisible marks on our bodies and souls. These marks show up in our relationships, our parenting, and our physical health, among other places. It takes bravery to face the feelings that trauma brings up within us. I tailor my techniques and connections to the individual needs of each person who walks through my door because not one of us can, or should, be boxed into a category.

Many people might be familiar with the phrase “fight or flight.” This is when trauma has affected the central nervous system. You might find yourself having difficulty sleeping, headaches, digestive issues, and/or flashbacks; in addition to a plethora of other symptoms.

Due to the wide reach of trauma experiences, Trauma Informed Care is not limited to individual counseling. Individuals, couples, and families alike can find trauma experiences creeping into their lives.

"It is exhausting to constantly be at war with yourself. I know you are trying. You are seen."
